Methods. Vertical cylinder: V = π·D²·h/4. Horizontal cylinder (flat ends): liquid cross-section A = R²·acos((R−h)/R) − (R−h)·√(2Rh−h²); V = A·L. Sphere (cap from bottom): V = π·h²·(3R−h)/3. Conical frustum (D₁ at bottom, D₂ at top, height H): V = π·H·(R₁² + R₁R₂ + R₂²)/3; partial fill uses the linearly interpolated radius at level h. Rectangular: V = L·W·h. Mass of water assumes ρ = 998 kg/m³ at 20 °C — adjust for other fluids.
