Belanger sequent depth: y2/y1 = ½·(√(1+8Fr1²) − 1). Energy loss ΔE = (y2−y1)³/(4·y1·y2). Jump length Lj ≈ 6·y2 (rough). USBR Type II for Fr1 4.5–17 with chute blocks + dentated sill; Type III for Fr1 > 4.5 with chute blocks + baffle blocks + end sill (shorter basin).
