Windows Desktop App

Reinforced concrete quantity takeoff, reimagined.

RHCES Estimator turns hand-drawn quantity sheets into a live 3D model. Define beams, columns, slabs, footings, walls, stairs, and trusses; watch concrete volumes, formwork areas, rebar weights, and cost estimates update in real time. Export to PDF or Excel with a full bar-bending schedule included.

Built for the way structural estimators actually work

Nine element types, real-time 3D, ACI 318 / NSCP rebar math, and one-click PDF/Excel reports.

Nine element types

Beams, columns, slabs, footings, combined footings, walls, stairs, assemblies, and steel trusses — each with full geometry, rebar, and cost parameters.

Live 3D viewport

HelixToolkit-powered viewport with plan, elevation, and isometric modes. Rotate, zoom, and pan as you edit; rebar cages update instantly.

Bar Bending Schedule

Auto-generated BBS with bar mark, shape, diameter, cut length, count, and weight per bar size. Exported to both Excel (BBS sheet) and PDF appendix.

Real-time quantities

Concrete (m³), formwork (m²), rebar (kg) per element and project-wide. Splice and cutoff wastage tracked separately so you see honest totals.

Cost estimate built-in

Editable unit costs for concrete, rebar, formwork, structural steel, plus labor / overhead / contingency. Grand total updates with every edit.

PDF & Excel reports

One-click QuestPDF report — project info, summary tables, per-element breakdowns, BBS, and 3D screenshots. Excel mirror via ClosedXML.

Auto-save & undo/redo

Auto-save every 2 minutes, 50-step undo/redo, recovery prompt on next launch if the previous session ended uncleanly.

Combined footings — v3.2

Two columns per footing with independent pedestal, dowel, and tie inputs; per-face dowel counts; "Mirror Col 1" one-click copy.

Steel trusses included

Single-/double-angle, channel, SHS, CHS members with Howe/Hip/Scissor topologies, gusset plates, and a dedicated Steel Schedule export.

NEW IN v3.16.0

A bold new blue look, footings that sit right, and one-click Match Properties

v3.16.0 brings the whole app into one cohesive blue theme - a blue title bar, a solid-blue active toolbar with the draw and select tools highlighting in blue with white labels, blue primary buttons, and soft-shadow white cards throughout. The active tool is always lit, so you can see at a glance what you are drawing or selecting.

Combined footings now sit like isolated footings - centred on their placement in plan and anchored by their top in elevation, so the supported columns rest on top of the footing instead of passing through it, whatever the footing depth. New Match Properties (right-click an element while other elements of the same type are selected) copies its full definition - size, rebar, hooks and materials - onto the others, each as an independent copy that keeps its own name and position. This release is UI and 3D-visualization only - every quantity, BBS line, cost roll-up and the .rhces file format is unchanged.

From real practice, for real practice

RC

Engr. Ruel H. Cepeda

Founder · RHCEPEDA Engineering Services

RHCES Estimator is built and maintained by a practicing structural engineer. Every feature — from the combined-footing per-face dowel counts to the bar-bending schedule's per-bar-size grouping — came from a real project quantity takeoff. The tool ships with the same conventions used in Philippine construction (NSCP / ACI 318), and the rebar math matches what you'd compute by hand. If a calculation looks off, please flag it and we'll trace it back to the source line in the .rhces file.

Frequently asked

How long is the free trial?

30 days, starting from your first trial registration. Full access to every feature — beams, columns, slabs, footings, combined footings, walls, stairs, trusses, 3D viewport, BBS, PDF/Excel export. No credit card required to start.

What happens after the trial ends?

The app continues to launch but switches to a read-only state until you activate a subscription license. Your saved .rhces projects stay on disk and remain openable; you just can't edit or export until the license is active. Subscribe directly inside the app via Settings → License or from your account on rhces.com.

Can I use the same license on more than one computer?

The standard license is for one active machine at a time. You can deactivate the current machine from the Trial / License dialog and then activate on a different one. This is designed to handle the case where you replace a laptop without needing support intervention.

Do my quantity numbers stay byte-identical when I upgrade?

Yes — every release is gated by a parity harness against a reference 2-storey fixture. The contract is ±0.5% per element, ±0.1% on project totals, and exact match on BBS row count and cut-length sum per bar size. v3.3.x has shipped 6 patches and quantities are unchanged from v3.1.0 except where the change was intentional (e.g. combined footings with per-face dowels).

What if I'm offline when I need to open a project?

The license cache stays valid for a 3-day grace period after the last successful online check. Open the app once on Wi-Fi to warm the cache and it'll keep working on a job site without internet for up to 72 hours before prompting you to reconnect.

Which file formats can I export to?

.rhces for save / load (indented JSON), .pdf for the full report (QuestPDF — landscape pages for BBS & assembly views), and .xlsx for spreadsheet workflow (ClosedXML — separate sheets for project summary, per-element quantities, BBS, and steel schedule).

Ready to skip the spreadsheets?

Download the v3.16.0 Windows installer and start your 30-day free trial. Activation happens inside the app — no separate account creation step.
